Course Description

This course will focus on the technology and history of the Internet and its uses as an electronic commerce medium from informational websites to full online retail systems. Included in this introductory survey will be an analysis and evaluation of retail and business-to-business Internet-based systems.

Course Learning Outcomes

At the completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate and understanding the importance of E-Commerce.
  2. Understand the importance of E-Commerce in modern retail.
  3. Identify the impact of E-Commerce on business models and strategy.
  4. Describe E-Commerce trading relationships in business to consumer, business to business, and intra-organizational.
  5. Describe the infrastructure of E-Commerce.
  6. Recognize and discuss global E-Commerce issues.
